Be careful doing business with these people. My in-laws booked a vacation rental from this company. A few months after the vacation site was booked, my mother in-law found out that she had stage four colon cancer. As much as they would have liked to have gone on the vacation and have stayed in the vacation house, they could not, for obvious reasons. After making a number of phone calls explaining the situation still, this company refused to let my in-laws cancel their reservation without forfeiting the entire cost of the rental, not even allowing them to pay a cancellation fee.

I understand that business is business and that allowing people to cancel their reservations for various reasons can be costly. But there has to be some level of human decency, which these people seem to lack, that suggests that adding stress (financially and emotionally) to a person's life who is facing intensive treatment for cancer and who just had a highly invasive surgery, as well as the family members who are trying to support them, falls outside of even the loosest definition of human decency.
